Microgas turbine and ORC technology by Dürr
Bietigheim-Bissingen, 20. January 2014 - The microgas turbine (Compact Power System or CPS) and the ORC technology (Organic Rankine Cycle) by Dürr are particularly economical solutions for optimum utilization of energy.
Dürr sell their microgas turbine technology under the product name of Compact Power System (CPS). This name stands for a highly efficient co-generation unit (rated electrical output: 100kW; rated thermal exhaust-gas output: 210kW-520kW) for decentralized provision of electricity, heating and cooling. Not only gaseous but also liquid fuels can be used for extremely low-emission combustion. The turbine waste gas available at a constant temperature level can be used for example for generation of steam or hot or warm water, or for drying goods. Depending on the application, a total efficiency of up to 98% can be achieved. The CPS by Dürr is reliable, low-maintenance, low-noise, and convinces with its small footprint and high availability.
ORC compact modules by Dürr Cyplan inexpensively generate electricity from various heat sources at already relatively low temperatures. Up to 20% of the thermal energy is converted into electricity, 80% is available for subsequent thermal utilization. The range of Dürr products comprises modules for high and low temperatures (starting at 90°C) with outputs of minimum 40 KWel. Heat sources can be hot water, steam, thermal oil or combustion gases.
Dürr will be present at the E-World 2015 in Hall 2 at Booth 2-135.
The Dürr Group is one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms. Products, systems and services offered by Dürr enable highly efficient manufacturing processes in different industries. Business with automobile manufacturers and their suppliers accounts for approximately 65% of Dürr's sales. Other market segments include, for example, the mechanical engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and – since the takeover of HOMAG Group AG in October 2014 – the woodworking industry. Dürr has 94 business locations in 28 countries and generates annual sales of approx. € 3.2 billion with around 13,700 employees. The Dürr Group operates in the market with five divisions:
- Paint and Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
- Application Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives
- Measuring and Process Systems: balancing and cleaning systems as well as testing and filling technology
- Clean Technology Systems: exhaust-air purification systems and energy-efficiency technology
- Woodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery for the woodworking industry
